Let us start with some recognition

Recognition that mental health treatment is challenging for several reasons: the complexity of mental disorders, stigma, access to resources, and individual variation.

Recognition that Norse will never be perfect or fully developed. We are driven by curiosity about how we can improve, how we can help the helpers, and those struggling with mental health issues. Overall, we aim to contribute positively to the healthcare system. We believe people and their stories are complex, not merely a reflection of their diagnoses. We strive for our methodology and products to reflect that life evolves and time progresses. Every two years, we review the content of Norse with our users to ensure it remains updated, useful, and valid.

Since 2014, the Norse team has focused on how the appropriate use of patient-reported data in treatment processes and services can improve mental health care. Together with relevant stakeholders, from patients to leaders, we have developed a comprehensive professional system in mental health through research and development. This system is delivered by Norse Feedback.

We align with all the dedicated individuals working in mental health, found at every level: student health services, helplines, private providers, primary mental health services, specialist outpatient clinics, and inpatient wards.

Not everyone provides traditional mental health treatment. Like the public healthcare system, these actors also depend on funding. Through close collaboration, we identify effective ways to quantify the impact of the work done by non-profit actors, just as we do in sports, banking, and insurance.

In the end, it is essential to demonstrate that what you do works. We don’t engage in assessments and measurements as an administrative task alone. Since its inception, Norse Feedback has proven that it is possible to measure progress meaningfully, helping individuals in real-time and on an aggregated level.
